What Makes Us Special

Enjoy the sight and sound of the fine old waterwheel, which has been lovingly restored and turns effortlessly during daylight hours. Four acres of beautiful, informally landscaped gardens with lake and fountain form the backdrop to this delightful location where peacocks, swans and ducks are long-term residents making this an ideal venue for weddings in Somerset, special occasions and conferences.

Our History and Grounds

A beautifully converted early 19th Century Somerset corn mill, built of local flint stone and elm wood beams, with a lake in the grounds.

The Crown Wheel Bridal Suite

We got married here last month and cannot thank the staff at Hornsbury Mill enough for all there hard work and dedication to their jobs. Stayed for 3 days in a suite, beautiful comfy bed and spotlessly clean, all your usual extras, tea coffee, shampoo, shower gel etc. All of the staff were so lovely and attentive, friendly and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant each night and the food was really tasty, all home cooked and fresh with great varied menu, and very generous portions. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in this neck of the woods, close to Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast.

What a fabulous day we had on Saturday for our Wedding! right from the word go when the planning started the team were so helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfect and ran smoothly, all our guests were very complimentary about the venue (beautiful!) and the food (delici…ous!) We did not want the day to end but sadly it did. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough for a wedding, personal and friendly and beautiful surroundings.

Conferences and Events

Hornsbury Mill is an ideal conference venue with unique character and peaceful surroundings. It’s hard to believe that you are only 20 minutes from the M5 when enjoying the peace and tranquillity of our water gardens and surrounding countryside. We have ample free car parking and being situated just off the main road (A358) and 10 minutes from the A303, the ideal location for your South Somerset meeting.
